Frozen Chineham 2

Some more pictures from around my house today… winter really is a beautiful time of year…

Frozen Chineham!

thumbnail

Not quite as dramatic as “Frozen Britain” but anyway… Happy (if a tad chilly) New Year! I’m very much looking forward to 2010 and to the four weddings I have booked for the year so far. But before that, we have some snow and ice to contend with. Winter is quite possibly my favourite of [...]

Gridlock in Basingstoke!

thumbnail

A little snow, well, it was a reasonable amount actually, brought Basingstoke and other towns to a standstill. My journey from Bracknell, normally a 35 minute journey, took nearly 5 hours last night. I left at 2.30pm and got in just after 7pm. Beautiful as it was, being stuck in the car only 2 miles [...]

London

thumbnail

Mrs G. took me out yesterday for a surprise evening out. I had no idea where we were going just that it was in London. We wandered around for a while taking photos and then sat down to a sumptuous mexican meal at Wahaca. After several margueritas we found our way to the Royal Albert [...]

A few more from Padstow

I’m really pleased with the photos I took in Padstow, so much so, I have some more to show you…

Lake District 2007

We went up to the Lakes for our 5th Anniversary together. It was a pretty cold winter’s weekend but beautiful as ever. We stayed in Ambleside as is the tradition at the quite lovely ‘Howbeck’ B&B. I proposed to Keily in the Miller Howe restaurant on the evening of the 17th December. Here are some [...]

North Cornwall 2007

thumbnail

We had a week away in North Cornwall taking in Padstow, Launceston and Bude. Here are some of the best shots from the week…

Evening over Wiltshire

thumbnail

I went out in search of hay bales. And I found one, along with some other interesting subjects…

Skiing Bulgaria

thumbnail

This was arguably the warmest skiing season on record. Nothing at base, only really decent enough to ski above middle station. And its not the highest place in the world. Still, there’s plenty of beer and mulled wine to enjoy!

A couple of photos from Bath

thumbnail

Went to Bath today. It was quite dreary weather wise but in one of the public gardens, I spotted some leaves that looked perfect for selective colour post production. It worked out rather well :)
